Seattle Folklife Fest
Morris dancing, Live music, Contra with 60 different groups, Waltz night, stage shows, on & on & on... for many means incredibly sore feet ! -a contra line can have 50 or more couples & cram 6 lines to the hall... that'sa few dancers.... over at the Waltz/Swing room with a like population were fine dancers who'd never even heard of a "Contra' style !

Of course my pictures of sparse dancehalls were due to stashing the gear in full swing.....
h0w many pair of shoes, looks like one would get lost in the crowd, dance alnight, the stars are out having fun

anonymous has it -- except for the part about the stars, because they were on the other side of the clouds most of the weekend so nobody knows what they were doing... but, oh, the dancing! who cares about the stars when you can twirl all night to the tunes of fiddle and flute...
