Octopus & Pirates

Finest dining ... bait.
A little coconut sauce deeply saute'd over a simmering oil stove and it's a cross between Abalone and Shrimp... YUM ! - That is the "beak" of the octopus.. they may bite in defense....
The crew chops "Humpies" for our bait... he say's "yum" in disgust.... (they're stinky)

Might also add we caught a halibut that weighed 199 with head/guts removed... thus might have been 260/270 as landed...(or more) we didn't think it was that large so skipped the photo in the slime of the moment... guess Tyler coulda laid next to it for a measurment... Posted by Picasa

When I worked in Dutch Harbor, one of the fishermen used to cook for me and I for the crew. He brought me the best fish one night sauted in white wine with rice pilaf. So good! It was the bait I had sold them earlier in the day!
